I have the original on a C64 compilation tape by Imagine (Taito's Arcade Hits) and loved Bubble Bobble. The game is fantastic. Looking at the new graphics you have made, the game looks even nice and possibly close to the arcade. Also it still shows the game still keeps its charm with the C64's game play mechanics unchanged.
Thank you Richard! Very glad to have you comment on my little endeavor! I love Bubble Bobble dearly on the C64, spent countless hours playing it with a friend back then, until we managed to finish it. Today I played it again, it started as just another quick routine test but I ended up playing the whole game and I managed to finish it all by myself for the first time ever! Tons of fun. The only thing nowadays I'd really change gameplay wise is the speed, the dragons a little too slow without the shoes powerup
